Participants on the Williams College medical plans can now use the Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA website to access information about reimbursement for the purchase of up to eight self-administered, at-home COVID-19 test kits per member per month. Please read the detailed instructions on the BCBS of MA website to ensure your purchase qualifies for reimbursement. The kits are being made available for personal use and are not a replacement for any of the testing protocols in place at the College.
Currently, BCBS of MA is asking participants to retain the receipts for test kits purchased on or after January 15, 2022, and submit a reimbursement form for the purchases. One form should be submitted for each member. Forms can be submitted via email or mail to the addresses on the form.
BCBS of MA expects this reimbursement process to be available via their website beginning in February. Please watch for updates to this process as we will send out messages as new information becomes available.
Note: This program is not the same as the free test kits that will be available to everyone, regardless of insurance coverage, through the covidtests.gov website. Please refer to that website for more information about the test kits that will be available to be shipped to each U.S. household starting mid to late January 2022.
